Dad's Kitchen Reno
This FOR SURE is my favorite, most special, most fun and most cherished kitchen remodel to date bc LOOK at those cute floaty shelves! But really truly, it’s my favorite bc we got to design it for someone I love a whole, whole bunch - my Dad! The time we got to spend together during this renovation is a season I’ll cherish forever!
Dad’s only requests when we remodeled his kitchen was that we keep the countertops & be sure to throw in a little bit of “mom” into the decor! It might have taken 107 cabinet paint samples and way too many trips to Floor and Decor to find the perfect backsplash but I am just GIDDY with how it all came together! AND getting to scatter mom’s pottery, cutie antiques and a few Donald Duck’s throughout the house (peep bottom right shelf) was my favorite part of this entire project.
((Second favorite part was celebrating by cutting into mom’s homemade chocolate cake! My baking will NEVER ever (ever ever ever) live up to mom’s but I sure am thankful for a Dad who always makes me feel like it’s the best cake he’s ever had.))
