First and foremost, know that I’m doing the biggest happy dance behind my computer screen when I see your inquiry come through! I LOVE getting to work with and serve couples on their wedding day and throughout their season of engagement! Please know I expect LOTS of questions. I was the same way when I was searching for wedding vendors, so ask away! THROUGHOUT YOUR SEASON OF ENGAGEMENT…
If you’ve followed me on Insta or navigated through my website, I’m sure you’ve picked up on the fact that I don’t just want to be another vendor on your wedding day! I love getting to know my couples - hear how they met, how long they’ve been together, find out what makes them THEM. I want you to be more of a friend and less of a client! It opens the door for you to be comfortable when I’ve got a camera in your face and it allows me to capture images that reflect YOU and your personalities. I LOVE when brides text me pictures when they’ve said yes to the dress, include me in their outfit planning for their engagement session and keep me looped into their wedding plans. Throughout your season of engagement you can always expect me to be a call, email or text away throughout your entire planning process! I’ll send ya notes via email here and there as we plan for your engagement or bridal session and as we get closer to your wedding day! Don’t worry - I won’t bombard ya, but you’ll definitely hear from me a few times to check in!
DURING YOUR ENGAGEMENT SESSION…
You can expect it to be a GRAND OL’ TIME! Trust me, I’ve been in your shoes and I’ve been on the other side of the camera for my own engagement session - it’s intimidating and a bit uncomfortable to have a camera in your face! But my goal is always to make our time together feel less like a photo shoot and more like a really sweet date night! We’ll make sure we’ve got ya in the perfect outfits and a great location for the most stunning images that you can cherish for a long, long time! I’ve actually put together my top tips for a smooth engagement session that you can check out HERE!
IN THE FEW MONTHS LEADING UP TO YOUR WEDDING…
The communication will start to pick up a bit. I want to ensure that we are on the same page for every little detail bc it makes the wedding day that much sweeter! At this point, we’ll pretty much have your wedding timeline nailed down. Ill send you a Wedding Day Questionnaire to fill out and then a week or so before your wedding day, we’ll schedule a time to meet for coffee or hop on the phone to review it all one last time YAY!
ON YOUR WEDDING DAY…
First things first, I run in and give ya a big hug while you’re in the middle of getting your makeup done and then I pretty much attempt to be a fly on the wall the first 60-90 minutes capturing the details, your dress and all the “getting-ready-fun” that takes place the morning of your wedding. I want to be the least intrusive as possible when capturing your day, while also directing when needed to get you the images you hired me for! I may ask you to scootch a little closer to the window when you’re writing those sweet vows for the best lighting or move a few bags to ensure your images are clutter-free but for the most part, know that I want to be snapping pics AS YOU ARE with your girls and not posing you and directing you every second of the morning. Once morning has passed, I’m pretty half and half when it comes to being on a timeline vs going with the flow - sticking to the timeline helps me tremendously with getting every image I would normally take on a wedding day + more, so I might encourage your girls to get dressed a little quicker or have the wedding planner bump back the cake cutting, etc. but please know YOU and your family are my main priority and rushed + stressed is the last thing I want you feeling. If hair and makeup takes a little longer than planned and we need to move bridesmaid photos to after the ceremony - THAT’S OKAY! And if you’re flipping exhausted after family photos and need a second to take a breather before hopping into bridal party portraits - we will always make it work! More than anything I want this day to be so special for you and your hubs and my goal is to be the perfect mix of stick-to-the-timeline to get the images I know you’ll love, while being go-with-the-flow when needed.
AFTER YOUR WEDDING DAY…
You can expect to receive your wedding images 8 - 10 weeks after your wedding day. They will be delivered in an online gallery that you will have full download and printing rights to! The album also gives you an easy-peasy option for printing images from a professional lab which I highly recommend! I know how eager I was to get images back after our wedding and so I always do my best to get a blog posted with a sneak peek of your day that you can stare at until you get your full wedding album! I’ll also be posting lots and lots of peeks on Instagram and Facebook so keep your eyes peeled!
